Baaaah! Good to know I am not alone on the stress factors!

I am stressed because of the following

  • I have no idea what to do for flower for the girls and I
  • I an no where near where I need to be in terms of money saved
  • I am 600 kms away from where the wedding will be so it is time spent to go there and also money
  • I haven’t chosen a cake or vendor or even decided between DIY cupcakes or one already made
  • Havent started the wedding website
  • I am 20+ people over on the guestlist then are allowed at the venue!

Right now, it’s

  • having the money to go to Las Vegas so we can get married as planned on October 13th.
  • My Future Mother-In-Law agreed to give us a reception, but she keeps putting off booking the venue and she also has to get me addresses for the shower invitations.
  • the fact that we’re moving to a new apartment in 2 weeks and we have so much left to do.
  • I just can’t seem to find time to work out and I’m not losing any weight.

Ooh what are the folded cranes for?  They are so colorful and cute!

I’m also stressing over Save the Dates.  We don’t have any addresses from my fiance’s side…waiting for Future Mother-In-Law.

I’m not sure what to do with the cake. We are having a super budget wedding and I really wanted to do donuts because I thought it would be cheap, fun and unique.  But Future Mother-In-Law and fiance’s grandma both think that its ridiculous.  So now I’m looking into doing cupcakes.  I don’t even like cake though :(.  I thought about pies, but I don’t want to have to cut anything.  A candy bar is another idea, but I’m pretty sure Future Mother-In-Law won’t like that idea either.

I’m also stressing over whether or not to hire a day of coordinator.  I’m thinking I have to, but I just can’t afford their ridiculous pricing of $150/hour.

basically everything… the lack of:

guest list

invitations

money

decorations

food

photographer

my dress and other stuff

then the fact that the weather is questionable at the end of october and I might need to figure out some way to move the reception inside…

Glad I’m not the only one stressed!  Just stumbled back onto the hive a few days ago and sooo glad to have the support of other brides!  Our date is Oct. 28th.

I’m mostly stressed about decor-related things, and getting things booked NOW before everyone else is booked up.

Found the photog, dress, venues, and have a general theme but the details are making my head spin! =/

I am stressed with the small details like how I want the reception and church to be decorated. I was never one to dream about the big day and know exactly how I wanted everything to be. Still have trouble seeing the big picture of it all. I had just planned to go have a civil ceremony in front of a judge and now wish I was doing that! oh well.

I am also going to make my invitiations and can’t come up with an idea on that, but I think that stems from the not knowing how I want everything to look that day. I may have an idea of a possible theme now, but there is still so much to figure out.

At this moment?  We just ordered our invites/rsvp’s/reception cards/STD’s online.  I’m worried something will happen and they’ll be all messed up when they arrive….  The venue coordinator just send us a floor plan that allows for 100 seated guests and we have invited 127 at this time….  We are allowed 75 people at the ceremony if we really squeeze and we invited everyone b/c I was so freaked about seperating which cousins can come and which can’t and I didn’t want to step on everyone’s toes so I just decided to invite everyone and hope they all don’t come!  Also can’t decide on photographer and the caterer has not sent me our contract via email yet even though we already did tasting, paid first half, and got a receipt for that part.  Oi!

@ gemini22….  LOL all the way home!  Momzillas are a pain in my behind!  My mom didn’t want to go with me to pick out a dress but then got mad when I picked it out myself.  She is all stressed about how I’m going to do my hair etc the day of, but plans on not being around to help me out (b/c she’ll be staying at a local hotel vs. spending the night with me and my sister).  She complains about our caterer with every little thing but refuses to put a dime down on it.

As for the response cards, I did the response cards, reception cards, save the dates, and invites all online budgetweddinginvitations.com for just over $100.  They pick the wording for you!  You get a whole bunch of verse choices (like 10-15) and I picked the best one for us.  Made the whole situation simple!

Hope this helps or at least made you smile!

Probably so far it’s been about budget and guestlist… OH and a photographer, my Fiance doesn’t feel the need for a photographer for the day of the wedding.. he says family photos should be good enough. I think my heart stopped for a minute when he said that. I think photos are one of the most important things at a wedding… HOW else can you look back at it years later. Then probably our older single siblings that went through depression after hearing we were getting married… crazy. I’m sure soon it will be my parents that will be the next stressful thing because they like things big and flashy.. I haven’t told them that our venue only holds 50 ppl haha I’m sure their heart will stop for a minute once they hear that. I’m just thankful my older sister got married first… her wedding was a gong show. Cause of my mother and her crazy ways the guestlist was 300 ppl.
