Was wondering what everyone’s plans are now for those who are supposed to have a fall 2020 wedding. My fiancé and I are supposed to be married Oct 9th 2020 with around 130 people. We called our banquet hall where we are supposed to have ceremony and reception and they are letting people pick another date to put on hold. We choose May 28th, 2021. If courthouses are open we still plan on getting legally married on Oct 9th with just few family and then I guess 7 months later renew our vows and celebrate with everyone else. If we do everything on Oct 9th things might be too rushed with wedding shower, bachelor and bachlorette parties and bridal party trying to get dresses and tuxs. Hoping everyone stays healthy and staying positive still!!

We were just starting to consider planning a fall wedding (we hadn’t booked anything), but now we have shifted and are just going to have a small backyard wedding with less than 10 ppl.
It’s a second wedding for both of us and while a big party seemed fun, we just want to get married and not have to stress about when all of this will be somewhat back to normal.

Nephew’s October 2020 destination wedding in Florida is going ahead as planned. So far his November reception in Ohio is still on as well. I’m thankful my own wedding is October 2021.

We are doing the same pretty much. We cancelled our big wedding set for October 18th, are going to elope now, and just have a small backyard wedding of 30 people at a later date, maybe March of 2021. We had no idea how we were going to pay for a fancy wedding for 100 guests and are very grateful for the silver lining of the pandemic, being now we can save thousands and save up for a down payment on a house while having only the most important people there with us.
