A friend of mine is getting married to his fiance in about a month. Alot of the items on their registry have already been bought. I wanted to get them a fun gift that they’ll actually use. On their registry is this shaker/bar set. I was thinking of buying that, a bottle of her fav alcohol and his fav alcohol and then shot glasses that have to do with each of their interests (her= twilight his=hangover quotes). I think this would be a really fun gift and something they could definitly use. Does anyone think its a bad idea? I just got married and I would of loved a gift like this.

@cassiesmomma: I think it’s a great idea. You are getting them something you know they want (off their registry) and then using your knowledge of the couple to personalize it more. I think it’s great!

I think as long as you get something on their registry, you can’t go wrong. To supplement it with something more personal is very thoughtful and fun.

Has that set already been bought off the registry tho?

I really like it but I would get them some nice shot glasses too in case they don’t want to use fun ones when they have company over.

@jacinda10: When I checked yesterday it still hadn’t been bought yet

@loch_ness: I’m assuming they already have normal shot glasses since they drink but should I get some regular ones in addition to the personal ones?

I think it’s a great idea!

Great idea! Could always throw in a set of cocktail skewers or swizzle sticks even if they aren’t on the registry.
