I am getting married in a few days and haven’t quite figured out the processional. I am walking myself down the aisle and have one bridesmaid. It is an outdoor wedding and it is a bit of a walk from the building to the spot where we will stand to say our vows. Here is the question- how long should I wait before starting down the aisle myself? Should I wait for my bridesamid to get into her position, or give her like 25 seconds and then start out myself? I hadn’t given this alot of thought but now that I am, I am a little nervous…

I don’t think you have to wait until she’s all the way in position but you will probably want to make sure she’s past most of the people before you go. As soon as you come into view everyone will be looking at you and I would feel kind of strange walking down an aisle with everyone looking behind me.

If people will be able to see you as soon as you start walking then you should wait for her to be in position.

I think with just one Bridesmaid or Best Man you can start before she gets to the front, especially if it’s a long aisle.
It really depends on your music though. If you’re having different music for you than for her it might be better to wait. If it’s the same, I say go for it. Also depends if you’re expecting people to stand as soon as they see you. Can people see where you will start?
