- Wedding: August 2013 - Genetti's in Dickson City, PA
I’ve been working on putting together the programs for our wedding, but ran into an interesting question….
My best friend is my Matron of Honor. It was only right that her son be my ring bearer. I call him my nephew, even though she’s not a blood relative. He knows me as his aunt.
however, should I put that in the program? Chase E____, nephew of the bride
I don’t want to confuse any of our guests, but don’t know what to write otherwise….

@RheannaRaye: I would put, Chase E___, Family Friend of the Bride.

You can always try to leave out the description for him. I would check to see how it looked otherwise Family Friend of the Bride is nice.

@RheannaRaye: another option: Honorary Nephew of the Bride
It shows he is more than just a family friend. That he’s really like family.

@Kiznym: Love that Option

@RheannaRaye: You can put Nephew in quotes. It will signify that it is a term of endearment rather then signifying a blood relation.
For my step sister on my half sister’s program I wrote Bride’s ‘sister’. They aren’t related technically but all of us call eachother sisters anyways so why not.

@Kiznym: Thats a great solution!!
