I can’t seem to figure out how to do the wording for my parents. I was primarily raised by my mom and my step dad who joined when I was five. Though we were not close when I was a kid, we are really close now. My real dad is now deceased. We were close when I was a kid, but because of various factors we became estranged. I had not spoken to him for over 10 years until this year, right before he died. It turned out I was his power of attorney as he wasn’t married, I was his only adult child and he didn’t have a will. So he was too ill to make any medical decisions. (NOTE, make sure your parents have wills, no child should have to do this unexpectedly) We reconciled and best as one can with someone who is only half lucid. Anyway…Too Much Information
I want to acknowledge my real dad, since he was technically my dad and some of his family will be there, but not with some sappy “in memory of” section.
What I’m thinking:
Mom & Stepdad
The late Dad
Parents of the bride
Future Mother-In-Law & Future Father-In-Law
Parents of the groom
I don’t know, anyone have any better ideas????
