I have been crushing HARD on this purse- https://www.etsy.com/listing/65035641/white-wedding-clutch-bridal-clutch since I first saw it a few years ago (seriously – I love this thing). I want it really bad…but I feel like it might be a waste. I’d likely get it in ivory – so the odds of it being reused (unless a friend borrows it) are slim to none. But…I just want it! And…I found a cheaper version from a different seller for only $55!
I’m thinking I’ll stick in my cellphone (hello, my name is Ashley and I’m instagram obsessed – while I won’t be live-gramming, I’m sure I’ll want to put one or two up over the course of the day), lipstick, and blotting cloths, plus my ID, credit card, and emergency cash. Maybe some mints and a teeny deodorant (I tend to have a major BO problem when I get excited/nervous. Fun!).
I do have a DOC who can schlep things, and obviously my MOH/BP will be able to carry stuff – but I like the idea of having a cute little clutch so that way I don’t have to dig through a giant tote bag. We don’t have a bridal suite – getting ready in a hotel, taking a bus to the ceremony, then photos, then a bus to the sepearte reception space, then a cab to our afterparty.
So – a waste of money? Treat myself, it’s my wedding? Or did you actually use/appreciate having yours?

StL.Ashley: I had a clutch but I wouldn’t pay that price for that one. Only you can decide if that clutch is worth that amount of money to you.
Basically the seller has taken a common white clutch which can be purchased from about $16 and up, and added a silk bow. You could do that yourself, or have a seamstress do it for you.

StL.Ashley: Only if you re-use it at Easter or the Kentucky Derby. 😉

julies1949: I agree… this looks like an easy DIY. But if you really feel like you HAVE TO HAVE it, then yes… it is your wedding so treat yourself! 😉

StL.Ashley: At first I would have voted no, pointless. BUT, then I saw your comment that you don’t have a bridal suite – that’s where everything you listed off will be stored for me so in your case, unless you want to track down your mom, Maid/Matron of Honor, DOC, or whoever each time you need something, I say get it. But the cheaper version you found.

I had a clutch and did NOT use it at all (I think I put a cookie in it … which never got eaten LoL). It looks great in pictures though! If you want to treat yourself, go ahead!

I think it’s adorable…I think you could use it again too if you ever dress up. Only you know if the price is worth it for you.

I didn’t have a clutch. Gave my credit card to my brother, who then passed it on to Darling Husband. My Maid/Matron of Honor carried my makeup and kleenex, etc.
I wouldn’t bother but if you think you’ll regret it, just get it!
