For our wedding guest book we are going to have each of our guest sign or write a message on a quilt square and my grandmother is going to make a quilt for us.
Since we are not having menu cards at each place setting we are going to place a quilt square with a instruction card, done in stationary like a menu card, at each place setting. They will be collected before dinner.
Does anyone have any ideas for the wording?

I was thinking of doing this. I will see if I can think of some way to word it!

and a link to a similar discussion:
and a poem:
Little Bits of Fabric
Little bits of fabric
Sewn into a quilt
Form a warm and loving blanket
From which memories are built.
So please sign a square of fabric
for the bride to someday sew
each piece will be original with a beauty of its own
With threads of warmth and love
and blessings from above
The bride and groom will always
be covered in our love

We’re doing a quilt, too. I have some “greeters” at the reception who are welcoming people, handling gifts & cards and have the table assignment list (we are not doing escort cards). They will also ask people to sign their swatch of fabric. I was worried about not getting them back if we put them on the tables.

I’m hoping to do this too! (as long as we can find someone to quilt for us)
