- Wedding: April 2017 - Hogarths, Solihull
Sorry it’s taken so long for this! Had to wait for some lower resolution photos to upload as the Bee can’t handle my full res ones haha (worse problems to have!)
So here goes…
The weather in the week leading up to the Wedding was awful. I was practically in tears. On the Wednesday, it snowed and the rest of the week it just rained. People tried to be reassuring, but when you’re having an outdoor Wedding it’s hard to be optimistic!
The day before the Wedding, my BMs came down and had their nails done and got themselves checked into their hotels. We had a lovely time and a good giggle. I dropped DH off at the Wedding venue (it was a hotel, so he stayed there the night before) and went off to my parents’ house. I had a lovely swim in their pool, and then had a really relaxing soak in the bath before going up for an early(ish) night.
I’d set my alarm for 7am the next morning so that we could get ready for the 12pm ceremony, but at 6am I was woken by the sunlight streaming through the curtains. I was so happy that it wasn’t raining!! I went downstairs to have a cup of tea, and then I hopped in the shower. After that, it was a whirlwind of BMs arriving, the photographer and videographer arriving and us all getting ready. We actually ended up running early, which amazed most of us!
The BMs headed off in one of the cars to the venue while I took some photos with my family at the house. Just before it was time to leave, my Dad presented me with a beautiful Swarovski bracelet to match my earrings and necklace.
The ceremony went smoothly, as did the Wedding Breakfast. We had about an hour of “dead” time between the meal and the evening guests arriving, which we used to mingle with our guests.
The first dance was the most awkward experience ever (although it doesn’t look it in the photos thank goodness!) and the cake went down really well. All in all, it was an amazing day from start to finish!
I’m done boring you with that bit now, on to the photos!
