So I’m having my wedding and reception in the same place! We are doing our pictures before and getting married at 7. Right after that we are having appetizers and sweets. We aren’t sure if we want to leave for half hour right after the I do’s or if we should just jumped right into the reception .. Any tips or advice?!

Do you need to take couple pix after your wedding, or are you doing that beforehand? We’re doing everything at the same site. We’re doing a “first look” before and doing our couple shots, then escaping for a short 10 minute “we’re married!!!” walk alone right after the ceremony, then doing family pix for 20 minutes or so, and then going to the cocktail hour. We want to spend as much time as possible hangin out with people, so this is a good way for us to do it.

I would take like 15 minutes post-ceremony and do some “Just Married” pics of you and Darling Husband hugging/kissing/generally jubilant/whatever!

We are doing all of our pics before the wedding! Then just the normal reception photos… That’s what we wanted to do aswell, spend as much time with family !

Since all your photos will be done, take 10 mins and find a quiet location to just soak it all up. 30 mins is a little too long. After 10-15 mins, go and enjoy your guests!
