We’d need a location to offer any advice whatsoever…

Daylon Mykal :  in my area I would say that at least 50% of the venues allow you to bring in your own catering and maybe 25% let you bring in your own alcohol.

Where are you located?

A lot of places will allow you to use an outside caterer, but they may charge a fee. My venue allows it but the fee is $5/pp. Wasn’t worth it to us as the catering they used had good reviews. Why do you want to use an outside caterer?

UK bee and I didn’t find any that allowed it other than village halls or community ran venues.

Even within wedding venues that you havetheir food but if you want to bring your own alcohol then they charge you corkage on the bottles so for each bottle you bring in they charge you £10-15 (making your own wine as expensive as theirs).

Absolute rip off merchants most of the time. We found a lovely local venue with land and did a back yard style gathering with a small local catering company and wine from cash and carry. Best decision ever.
