I have a quick question for you. I am working on my wedding reception redo invites. (As some of you might know my big day was cancelled/postponed – hence the redo.)
I have no clue how I should word things. I was thinking maybe “We Do Too – The Redo” and then just put “you are invited to join us as we have our wedding reception on XXX at XXX” and put all the info in… Is there a proper etiquette to these types of events like with the original wedding invites? Any thoughts on cute wording etc? We are trying to keep it pretty simple.

sbruin99: I think in your circumstances, you can pretty much do what you want. All the people will know that your ceremony was changed and reception cancelled because of your Dad’s health.
“We Do Too- The Redo” is a great title.

sbruin99: I think it’s lovely… You are already married correct? (had to go back and recheck)
I think maybe calling it a ‘celebration of marriage’ rolls off the tongue better.
I’d also call it the ‘We Do – Part II’

Ohh… I like We Do Part II also…
It’s been hard planning a “wedding” with no budget basically but we are making it work! (Or trying our best.)

Does this sound/look okay? Is it to formal sounding? We are really hoping to have a fun laid back feel…
Mr. and Mrs. XXX
invite you to join them in celebrating
We Do – Part II
On September 13, 2014
join us for cocktails at 5:00 pm
with dinner and a dance to follow
**room blocks have been set up at the XXXX**

The picture is really hard to read!
The font on Part II makes it read like Part ‘LL’.
I’d do a little more ‘cutesy’ font (Bradley Hand, Kristen ITC?), I’d say something like:
We Do… Part II!
Mr & Mrs XYZ
Invite you to a celebration of their marriage
At September 13, 2014 at 5:00pm
For cocktails, dinner, and dancing

CityBearBride: Ya I tried to fix the picture lol. I like your wording better. I don’t want it to be stuffy!
