Instead of a typical gift registry, i’m thinking of doing a honeymoon registry (which the website offers plenty of options) but I also want to do another registry for photos in which guests can help us purchase photographs and albums from our wedding. We all know how expensive photos can add up. Anyone have a suggestion for websites that cater to that?

We have a registry at Marriott.com and already have $380 on it!
I haven’t heard of one for photographs, but that sounds like a great idea!

I haven’t heard of anything like that either. Check with your photographer. Maybe they know of something like that.

my friend just recommended http://www.ourwishingwell.com
It allows you to personalize your gift registry without having to go to a specific store to to pick gift items. For example: I can specify $500 towards photography, and anyone can contribute any amt to help fund it.

What types of things are available on the honeymoon registry?
I’d tread with caution on this and make sure you don’t communicate your registry in a way that will make guests feel like they are paying for the wedding.
I’m in the camp that thinks guests presence at the wedding is the gift – and anything above and beyond that is a gracious bonus.

I’ve looked at http://www.ourwishingwell.com and they have a really nice setup of creating your own registry. You can basically put any item you want along with a price. Your guests can contribute any amount they want. Our Wishing Well charges a small fee when you transfer money to yourself.
