I’ve looked around but didn’t find any answers to this question.
My wedding is in a month and my bridal shower was more than a month ago but the 1 of 1 purchased items from my shower are still in my registry list. I already sent thank you cards to all my shower guests and I can’t decide if I should delete the purchased items from my registry or leave them.
I have an anti-clutter problem and love to delete things!
Is there any downside to deleting them from my registry that I might not be thinking of?

I would just leave them be so guests can see that someone else already got it for you and don’t have the brilliant idea of getting you that same product from off the registry

I’d delete them. The second, “bought” 1 might not register, with some people, and you’ll get duplicates.

I’m with Buzzed. If someone looks at the registry and sees that the item is purchased, it hopefully will stop them fro purchasing something similar. But most people end up licates or things they have to return anyway.

Keep the items on there. Like pp said, it helps eliminates duplicates- Aunt Sally my check out your registry and think “oh, OP didn’t register for a toaster! Let me just go ahead and grab one for her” when in reality it was registered for and purchased already, but you had just deleted it.
I was married several years ago, but still have my registries (just on the private settings so no one else can see them). This has been immensely helpful to reference when needing to grab a few replacement towels, or a couple more serving bowls I love, etc and knowing the exact make and model of what you already have at home.
Additionally, between now and your shower/wedding, you may want to update or add additional items to your registry, so knowing what had already been purchased will be very beneficial.

Yeah, you guys are right! Maybe I’ll just delete the things I know for a fact I won’t get duplicates of! Meet the problem in the middle.
