Wedding registries are searchable to anyone with the names of the couples. Seems like every registry at each store online requires you to put the wedding date in order to create the registry. Which stores or sites don’t?

myregistry.com is a universal registry that you can password protect, choose to not be searchable on google, and I think you can choose to not display the wedding date as well.

I’d suggest you simply make it unsearchable.. most website will allow that option. Only let guests access it via a link that is on your website, and put a password on your wedding website.

I haven’t seen any stores that allow for passwords on their registry sign up.

happygirl2016: she wasn’t sayingto put a password on your registry. You can make your registry unsearchable, so that random people can’t google your names, find it, and see your wedding date. In order for your guests to access the registry, they need the URL link from your wedding website. You can then password protect your wedding website, or otherwise make that also unsearchable

The problem with making it unsearchable is that most people google “Bride and Groom Names AND Registry” to find them…

You can put a fake wedding date. That’s what we did – put a different date from the same month on the registry. Surprisingly, nobody seemed to notice. At least nobody asked about it.

People can easily search the basic stores and find your registry with the wedding date. I hate to put a fake date as it may confuse some guests tremendously. Can stores override this requirement in any way or are their any registry sites that don’t require a date to register. The website is already password protected but registries anyone can easily search for by name.

Put down your bridal shower date as the event date
