How expensive were/are the bedsheets + pillow cases on your wedding registry? Of course I want something nice that we’ll be comfortable sleeping on for years to come. But at the same time, I feel ashamed to ask for something too extravagant.

Ours are pretty expensive – way more than we’d ever spend. I figure someone will buy them if they want to. If not, we’ll get the discount after the wedding if we decide we want them!

I had scanned a couple of bed sheets that were between 90-120 (they went on sale) though my registry was for my shower rather than the actual wedding cause Greeks tend to give cash for that. I ended up getting all appliances & no sheets at my shower :S. I guess I’ll get them myself!!

Then I through in a comforter and a duvet cover (i have a down comforter and like to have a second comforter depending on my decorating mood)

@gogogiraffes: we got those sheets as well! as well as a set from Kohl’s. They’re both very nice. Yep – we got a comforter and two duvet covers as well. Quite the change from my flowerly teenage bedspread that I used from age 13 to….well, 23!

@hisgoosiegirl: They’re so soft, and cool! Thats why I really liked them. Though, now second guessing my choice. But I get hot feet. As in, ice bath needed to cool down hot. So I’ll suck it up.

We listed pretty expensive bedsheets on our registry… and we didn’t get them. So I say keep your sheets $135 or less. The ones we had registered for were about $250 and to be honest, I wouldn’t have spent that much on sheets for someone either. lol.
We did however get the comforter set we registered for that was much more reasonably priced.
We’re still using our older sheets, which are the same ones GoGoGiraffes listed above, but our pilled pretty badly after owning them less than a month. It took about 4 months or using/washing them for the pilling to sort of take care of itself.
