For some reason I don’t think I want to wear white to my wedding rehearsal. Any other bees specifically going out of their way to avoid white and ivory on the rehearsal day? I kind of want to save my white dress moment for the big day 🙂 BUT I was considering wearing a teal lace dress. Would any of you consider wearing the same dress both to the shower and rehearsal dinner?

My rehersal dress is purple (unless I decide otherwise between now and than). here’s a picture!
I was also considering this, but I’m just NOT crazy about wearing white/ivory

Youre the bride!!! What you say goes. Enjoy your time. Wear what you want!
As far as wearing the same dress to shower and rehearsal thats up to you. I personally would want a different dress becase the same people would have seen me in the same dress plus there will be so many pictures taken.

This is actually the topic of conversation in my house!
I bought an ivory dress, but decided I didn’t like it.
I was in Bloomingdales over the weekened and tried on a silver dress I really really liked, but it was $450 (no thanks!), but then I saw the same dress on ebay in a nudeish color with black overlay for less than $60, so I bought it. To save almot $400- I can wear some black!

I wore white to my shower.. white to my bach party.. originally I was going to wear white to the rehearsal dinner and then decided not to and went with a black lace dress! I wanted to save my white dress moment for the wedding day since I wore white for everything else!

I didn’t know until WB that you wore white for that! I’ve been in one wedding, and the bride wore purple or something like that! I’m definitely not wearing white.

Mines purple, I figure I’ll be wearing white the next night 🙂 I didn’t go out of my way to find something not white, but I love it and am very comfortable in it.
As for shower vs. Rehearsal it depends (to me) on how much you love the dress, how expensive it was and who all will be in attendance shower vs. rehearsal. For my party it would only be MOB, MOG, Maid/Matron of Honor that would know it was a dress I’d worn before and that’s fine by me! Plus I’d get props from MOG for being thrify, LOL
Here’s my rehearsal dress:

There’s an Italian tradition for brides to wear green the night before their wedding for good luck, I plan on wearing a green dress if I can find one I like.
