    @islandbabes:  Is it because it is too tight? Would it help to get it sized a little larger? Sorry I don’t have any other advice.

    Only advice I could offer is talk to a psych.

    I think I understand the feeling you’re describing, though I haven’t felt like it when I’m wearing rings.

    I felt the EXACT same way when I had gotten acrylic nails in highschool.  I felt like my nails needed to breathe, and they needed to breathe NOW.  I ended up ripping the suckers off the night after I got them.

    Would you consider buying a smaller, lighter weight ring to wear instead?  Less weight could help!

    You’re not the only one.  I have a friend who’s beautiful 2ct engagement ring sits in her jewelry box because she can’t stand wearing it!  I don’t know what to do offhand since i haven’t experienced it, but I would say try to get a ring that’s super thin to start with.  Maybe something like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/89841120/sterling-silver-stacking-rings-set-of-3  Then see how it goes.  Maybe start with one, then two, then all three of the stacking bands then try the engagement ring again after you’ve adjusted a bit.  Just a thought, good luck!

    @thenuggetbride:  This.

    I remember playing with my ring and feeling weird when I first got it, just bc I wasn’t used to it and the weight of it but now it’s normal and I feel naked without it!

    maybe only wear it when you are out and when you are home and sleeping take it off….then when you are out you can know that as soon as you are home you can let your finger “breathe’

    I sometimes feel really weird when I wear earrings, I just freak out about having them through my skin. I also get really claustrophobic in small, enclosed spaces. I wouldn’t say the feeling I get from wearing earrings is claustrophobia but it does feel very similar, kind of like a panic attack and I just need to take them off right away or I start freaking out (God, I sound crazy haha). So I think I know what your talking about. It will be really interesting for me to see when I get my ring, if i feel the same way about it too.

    I can imagine that I will really dislike the feeling of only having the ring on one finger on one hand; I hate when things don’t feel even.

    I don’t know how to vote in this poll..

    I feel that way when I wear my wedding bands with my e-ring. It makes me feel like I can’t breath, they just bug me! My e-ring is SUPER comfortable though because the bottom looks like this:

    It feels like my finger can breathe because of the little gaps.

    I have a feeling that even after we’re married I’ll wear my e-ring alone on most days, especially in the summer when my fingers swell.

    I find my rings slightly uncomfortable so usually I take them off at night. I think my rings are pretty enough to deal with the discomfort during the day. I kind of wonder how long that will last, though!
