Bees, I need your opinions! I just ordered my wedding band online because I’m in the US for Christmas and I found an awesome website that had just what I was looking for (a 1.5mm palladium band for only $134). I need your opinions on whether it looks okay with my e-ring. The first picture is just my e-ring, the other three are with the wedding band. Obviously they don’t sit flush, which I don’t mind, but the wedding band is lower profile than the e-ring and I’m worried this will look weird.
What do you guys think? Excuse my fingers in the last three photos, this is the morning after a 13.5 hour flight followed by a 4 hour flight, so I’m still a bit puffy…
I think if it drives me crazy I’ll just wear my e-ring on my right hand, because I really like the simiplicity of the wedding band and I don’t want to get a custom band that is rounded for the e-ring stone. I want your thoughts, though!

It looks beautiful!! Your engagement ring is lovely and the band sets it off perfectly – good choice xxxx

They look more than fine, they look great!! I love a gap! I absolutely had to have a gap too, purposely 😉 My wedding band and e-ring shank are also of different profile heights, which I don’t mind at all. Your two rings have the same rounded shape, which gives a perfect match.
Here’s my gap and different profile heights:

I think it’s a perfect set. Both rings have the same shape so it looks like they are a set (even custom made!) Love that engagement ring! So unique!

Thanks for your replies everyone. I had another thought- do you think my rings will wear weirdly because they’re only touching at one point? They’re both the same metal (palladium) if that matters.

The rings do match perfectly (and i’d love to know where you found that band), but I see what you mean about the different heights. I wonder if going up a quarter or half size in the wedding ring might make it sit a bit higher so it was as tall as the e-ring…
Ultimately, though, you are not going to be walking around with your fingers splayed like in the 2nd and 3rd pictures. I can’t imagine that anyone will ever notice a half-mm height difference in your set while you are wearing it -in the last 2 pics, where your fingers are together, it truly looks like a matched set of identical bands. If you like it, then everyone else will too.
As far as rubbing goes, I think you should be ok since it’s the same metal. You might show it to a jeweler and get their opinion, though. You could always get them soldered together to prevent them from rubbing on each other.
[Again – THANK YOU for posting these pics. I am dead set on ordering the moissy bezette ring when we get engaged this summer, and seeing real-life pics helps ease the obsession…]

@ms_snugs: thanks for your feedback. I got the band from e-weddingbands.com. They were awesome and SUPER fast. I also know what you mean about wanting to see pictures of the e-ring you’ll be getting- I stalked all the pictures I could find before I got mine. Feel free to have a look through my other posts for more pictures.
