I’ve had good experiences with etsy, but I do a ton of research before making a purchase. I’ve contacted customers who left reviews six or more months ago and ask them hoe the product has held up. Sometimes, they leave a glowing review when theyre still excited about this shiny new bling, but sometimes down the line they are disappointed with the durability. I have enlisted a jeweler from etsy to make my upgrade, and every review and every previous customer I contacted had glowing reviews, even if they’d purchased their ring over a year ago.

I order from etsy all the time and have never had a bad experience. My engagement ring is from etsy. A few weeks after I got it, part was loose. It’s a flower design and basically the top row of petals was not really connected to the bottom. The seller was MORTIFIED and offered to pay shipping back/forth and fix it immediately. It turns out he lives/works just about 45 minutes away, so he drove up and picked it up from my work the next day, worked on it over the weekend, and had it back to me at work on Monday. Amazing service.

My ring is from an Etsy proxy, they have their own website as well.  It was also ‘local’ as in, same province.  We are very happy with the ring. The stone is beautiful as is the setting.

ancientculturesdramaqueen:  how is asking her to turn off caps lock rude? It is difficult to read, and signifies yelling. Maybe she doesn’t know that, and would like to. We weren’t being rude, at least, not any ruder than you are for calling US out.

happenstance:  My fiance got my engagement ring from the same jeweler, we are very happy with the purchase and plan to have custom wedding bands made by the company too!

ancientculturesdramaqueen:  really? So you never buy clothes online or any products from amazon that cost over $10?

Got my THE from an etsy seller.  No problems.  The beauty of the stone (morganite) and the delicate craftsmanship are breathtaking to me.  Think it depends on the individual seller.

We just ordered fiance’s wedding band off of Etsy from a seller with good reviews. He used a ring sizer at a jewelery store and went by that but the size we received was much bigger than what fit at the store. We can exchange through the Etsy seller but it’s costing me another $10 in shipping ugh.

danielle.mccormick.92:  That is such a gorgeous ring you’re looking at. I agree with PPs that as with any online seller, no matter the website, it depends on the particular seller. I took a chance and bought my bezel anniversary band from an Etsy seller named MasterJeweler. I did a lot of research and read all the reviews and asked fellow bees before ordering. My ring came out amazing and it was a great price too. I recommend him to everyone!

FutureMrsDinATL:  Out of curiosity, did you order a comfort fit band for him? They fit looser, anywhere from 1/2 a size to a whole size, so if you don’t get sized with comfort fit sizers, then it most likely will be too big. I learned that lesson at the jewelry store I worked at. Lol

Kings7911:  no, I’ve never bought anything online, frankly I don’t see the need for it. And bear in mind where I’m from the equavalent of 10 US Dollars is far more money than it is to you
