I’m having a hard time deciding on a wedding band to go with my engagement ring, and I’m running out of time to choose! The wedding is October 13th. I have the Hudson engagement ring from Brilliant Earth, which has a very detailed engraved setting. Naturally, I figured the matching band would be the right choice, but I don’t like how it sits higher than my engagement ring (besides the diamond of course, but the metal is thicker in terms of height) so I tried a few more options.
I want a wedding ring that looks good on its own, but I also want it to look good with my engagement ring. I tried a couple of chevron rings, but I feel like they’d look more fashiony than weddingy. I’m very torn! Pictures below. The engraved ring and the pavé ring are very similar in price, obviously the plain chevron band is much cheaper. Pardon how old my freckles make my hands look. Also please note that the first ring is the correct size, but the other two are several sizes too big and would sit more flush when properly sized
1. Matching engraved band.
2. Plain chevron band
3. Diamond chevron band

I think the plain chevron compliments your engagement ring so well!

I kind of like the first one if you don’t mind the gap 💕

I love the Hudson rings! Have you tried on the contoured Hudson wedding band? Perhaps it would sit better with your engagement ring.

I love that diamond chevron band!

I like the first one, but I think I’d like a plain straight band even more!

I picked the first one as my favorite, but I think they are all very pretty.

I have the diamond chevron band but can’t wear it till December. It makes my heart happy. It looks beautiful with your ring too.

I’m a little biased because I also have a Hudson ring! I chose the matching band because I wanted something that could stand on its own if I chose to wear it without the engagement ring.

I’m partial to the diamond chevron myself.

i personally think the plain chevron one suits your engagement ring the most, but since as you said it would be seen as more fashiony than weddingy on its own, better go with the diamond chevron band

elljwills : That’s good to know! Yeah, I love it on its own, but I don’t like that it is thicker (height wise, not witdth wise) than the engagement ring so I don’t find it particularly comfortable to wear.

I prefer the diamond chevron & I think it will look nice on its own, IMO.

I love the chevrons. I would only choose plain vs diamond on taste. Me, I don’t really care for a lot of diamonds, and like the look of the metal, but I do think the diamond chevron is very pretty. My vote is chevron (if you’re sticking with these options) and choose diamond or plain based on how much bling you like or price.
I had such a unique engagement ring that I went shopping multiple times to find a band that I liked. I tried chevron, wave, straight, plain, diamond, crown, wrap, and eventually settled on a stackable that I think is pretty and matches the ring nicely. Again, I don’t like too much bling, but love the band I picked out.

I like the plain chevron band best. I don’t like that the engraved band does not sit flush with your e-ring. It draws my eye away from your ring and to the band. The plain band just compliments your ring so nicely without being overwhelming or distracting. And tbh I’m shocked I like the plain band more than the diamond chevron as I’m all about the sparkle! But regardless of our opinions you have to get what you love most!
