Go directly to the manager or owner. Make copies of your warranty and only give them a copy. (I have seen managers rip up warranties before.) If all else fails go to the Better Business Bureau. They can help you negotiate businesses hate to get on their bad side (usually). Sorry about the ring issue.

ETA: You can also go the custom route. Just find an excellent craftsman!

It sounds like they did the worse job……if i place myself in your position…i would try to talk to the manager…or may be higher up authority if accessible about the issue and inquire about what they can do about the issue….
If they are helpful its fine otherwise if its mentioned in the warranty that they can do it and still they are refusing then i would suggest you to find a good advocate……you can ask them the refund or can change the ring……
