Hey ladies, question!
Do you wear your wedding ring below your E ring (closest to your body) or above your E ring (closer to your fingertip)?
I see it different on everyone…and a family friend told me I was wearing them backwards and that the E ring goes closer to your heart. I asked my mom, and she said wedding ring goes closer to your heart.
I’ve been married for almost 3 months now and still don’t know which way to wear them 🙁

Wedding Band goes closer to your heart.

I wear my wedding band on the inside (towards the base of my hand). Having said that, my mom has worn hers “backwards” (at least compared to how I wear mine) for the past 25 years!

I wear my wedding ring closest to my heart, as I have been told by grandma, mom, jeweler, etc (so below my engagement ring closer to my body)

I agree with LGenz, traditionally, the wedding ring is worn closest to your heart, so to the inside; however, these days, it is a matter of preference. You can wear it the way you think it looks best.

The wedding band goes closer to your heart (ie below the e-ring).

I think it’s supposed to go closer to your heart, but I think I’ll end up wearing it on the other side because my e-ring is a little loose, and it’ll keep it “tucked in.”

I just asked that same question at the jewelry store today and they said…wedding band first-closest to your heart!

I wear mine on the inside (closer to the heart).

I wear my wedding ring closest to my heart. It was what I was always told as well. So my wedding ring is closest to my body while my e-ring is on the outside closest to my fingernail.

I know most people wear their wedding bands on the inside. I don’t. I figured I got the ering first. And, it makes it one step harder to lose since the w-band must come off first.

Traditionally, as other posters have said, it’s on the inside of your hand, closest to your heart. My personal preference would be to wear it on the outside as a “seal” of sorts, but I’ll probably follow tradition. 🙂

I will wear my wedding ring on the inside (closest to the heart) and this is the way most people wear it but a jeweller once told me that ‘everyone else was wrong’ and that you should wear them in the order you were given them. I think it’s a personal decision but I much prefer the look of the wedding ring on the inside (although it depends on the ring style) and I think I will very rarely if ever take off my wedding ring, but I will want to take my e-ring off sometimes so it makes more sense to have the e-ring on the outside.

Wedding band goes closest to your heart and that’s how I wear mine. 🙂

wear the wedding ring on the inside means you hold the marriage close to the heart. wear the wedding ring on the outside may mean the opposite (sex outside of marriage, hotwife, cuckold lifestyle)
