imhisoneandonly:  I’ve always heard that your wedding band goes on the inside, closest to your palm. That’s how I’ll wear mine. But really, no one is going to die if you do the opposite. Do whatever makes you happy!

I wear my wedding band on the bottom and engagement ring on the top. I voted the opposite though, oops!

Wedding ring closer to my heart than engagement ring, so goes on my ring finger first, before my engagement ring.

I’ve always heard the same that your wedding band goes on the bottom as it is closest to your heart with the engagement ring on top.

I wear my wedding ring on the bottom. I guess because that’s the same way as I see everyone else wearing it. Also, on reflection, it means it is also in the same place as where DH wears his because he only wears one ring.

I had this debate before because I always thought it looked better to have the engagement ring on bottom. I always figured, you get the engagement ring first and put it on, then get married and put on the wedding band. In my mind, that made sense. Though I did read that the point of having the wedding band on the inside is because you can still take off the engagement ring if you choose not to wear it, but still have the band on. It was superstition that you’re not suppose to take your wedding band off.

I’ve always heard that your wedding ring is meant to be closest to your heart. I know that’s the traditional way. It could also depend if you are from another country or have a culture that dictates otherwise. I know some countries wear their rings on their right ring finger instead of their left.

imhisoneandonly: I was surprised to learn from a friend, who got married first out of our group that it should be worn with the wedding ring at the bottom.

Bottom – in theory that way you never have to take it off even if you take off your e-ring – I have friends who only take their bands off if they are medically required to do so.

(also, I don’t like the way mine look the other way!)

I’ve always heard the joke that the wedding band is worn on bottom because that’s closer to the heart and the engagement ring is on top because that’s closer to the wallet.  Ultimately it’s personal preference though.  I wear my band below the engagement ring because it feels more comfortable and looks more balanced on my finger.

I’ll be wearing my wedding ring on the bottom, then my engagement ring. I have heard that it’s the ‘right way’ but I’ll.mainly be doing it that way because when I get my eternity ring I’ll put that on top. So I’ll have a band either side of my e ring.

I actually have 2 mismatched bands that I wear on top of my ering, I think it’s personal preference, but because there is a large gap in mine I find wearing the bands on top makes it less likely to knock my ering around And it’s more comfortable!
