I think I might be regretting my wedding band choice.
Here’s the story… When we bought my e-ring we didn’t buy the matching band at the same time. The matching band is $$ and we thought maybe we should try to find something a bit less expensive. So, I went to a mall dealer and found TWO bands that I could get for our new budget of $! I got pretty excited about them and, I’ll admit, acted a bit “little kid on Christmas morning I-want-it-now”-ish and felt a bit guilty about it, but still my fiance and I went and bought the rings that same day. I haven’t seen them since because he hid them from me in retaliation for making him buy them the same day, which he didn’t want to do (prefers to look around rather than impulse shop).
Unfortunately, I’m afraid he may have been right. I impulse shopped and now I’m lusting after the original matching band to my e-ring. Here are some pics:
The e-ring alone —
The e-ring with the twin bands we bought —
The actual ring that goes with my e-ring (from Novori.com) —
So, should I stick with the rings I’ve already purchased and possibly upgrade in a few years? Or should I talk to him about it and risk possibly upsetting him for going back on my decision AND asking for a more expensive ring (that we can still afford – and I’d sell the other ones)??

can you return the bands? It looks a bit busy

I don’t think we can return them now, they’ve been sized. :/

I voted to get the band that matches your ring, keep the other bands as right hand rings and stack them, or for travel when you don’t want to wear your e ring and matching band for risk of losing them, wear the other two bands since they were bought for the purpose of a wedding band.

I talked to him about it and he seemed okay with it. Miffed that I pushed so hard for the bands in the first place and now want to take it back, but okay. He said that if we can return or sell the other bands that I can get the matching one, “whatever makes you happy”. 🙂
Unfortunately, I can’t return the bands, so my only option is to sell them. Anyone ever have any luck selling diamond bands online?

You will not get much selling them no matter what you paid. Thats how it is with second hand jewerly. You are better off keeping them as a right hand stack set, or for travel rings in place of your e-ring and wedding band.

maybe it would look less busy if you just wore 1 band. do you have a pic of that option for us to see?
the bands are very pretty and if you sell them, you will never get close to what you spent on them.

Please don’t think that I’m being hypocritical (because I happen to have the matching wedding band for my engagement ring and usually do prefer matching sets) but I actually think you should keep the set you have. I think the wedding bands you have are much prettier than the matching band! The matching band doesn’t really appeal to me.

@BeeEuphoric: i suggest keeping what you’ve bought but just wear one band with your engagement ring.
