I think you should look into a stand in in your current size so that you don’t put too much pressure on yourself and see how your finger shrinks in time.

Look into tungsten if your budget is low (like 15 bucks)

I would give it more time.  I stopped wearing my engagement ring during my second trimester and had to stop wearing my wedding ring in the third.  (I started wearing the latter on a black cord around my neck.)  Within a week the band fit and within two months the engagement ring fit.  And I still have 30 lbs. to go!  If you’re breastfeeding, your body may be “holding on” to a little bit of extra weight.

I wouldn’t resize, since you may have to resize again later.  In the meantime, distract yourself with your incredible new baby. 🙂

Wait a bit.  A month is not long at all.

Do you have to pay to get it resized? We paid for the care policy that covers dipping and resizing… if you have something similar, then I’d just get it done. If you have to pay, then you might want to wait a little longer, it’s up to you. I probably would be too impatient!

I’m in the same boat, been a month and my rings still don’t fit. All my swelling has gone down too but I had bad carpel tunnel durning pregnancy so I am not sure if my joints will go back down. I am eager as well, I am going to give it another month, I still  have 20 pounds to lose and haven’t gotten my post partum clearence yet to start working out. I am going to give myself a month working out to see if it makes any difference with the rings but not sure as the rings aren’t even CLOSE to fitting. 🙁

Depending on your ring, it’s not great to get it sized bigger and then sized smaller again. So i would just wait. 1 month is sooooo little time. I’d give 4-5 months to be sure… and even then it might take a bit longer for them to fit. What about getting a cheap, plain band for now, so you don’t have to resize?

I would wait; it took me about 6 weeks to get rid of all of my swelling.  For some reason, I was still retaining water in my hands, even after the swelling went away everywhere else.

Wait! Even if your swelling is gone pregnancy does weird things like loosening your ligaments (which is why some people’s feet get bigger). I’d say give it about 3 months. Maybe you can get a cheapy “stand-in” CZ ring to wear and put your real ring on a necklace for now.

Resizing changes the integrity of the ring so you don’t want to resize multiple times. If it still doesn’t fit in a few months then get it resized.
