I absolutely love the way my ering looks by itself, so does my fiancé. We thought it would just be a “wedding ring” rather than having a wedding band as well. But whenever people see it, they say “you’re engaged?” or “I love your engagement ring” which is fine for now, but I don’t want to have people think I’m still engaged when we are married.
Point of the story is, I am considering a wedding band to go with my current ring. Show me yours and let me know what you think! Am I being silly or should I get a wedding band after all? Thanks!

I kind of feel like you do, a split shank ring kind of has that two rings in one look. I think it’s beautiful just like it is.

If you’re getting one, then just get a plain thin band so that your e-ring can still have the limelight lol.

Mine isn’t a halo but it is split shank. This is what we’re doing.

If you were going to get a band, I think a curved band would be ideal. Either pave like your ring, or even with a little different detail.

I had the same question, we decided we liked these together:

Mine was custom made and sits flush to my e-ring. Some day I’d like one to sit on top. Btw, you’re ring is very pretty!

This is mine. The band is a promise ring Darling Husband got me that I decided to wear as a band and I actually just ordered another band to stack on it! I think that ring would look great with a pave band

I wouldn’t go with a band, I think it looks good as-is.

hayleychristine: my ring is a different style but is also a split shank but with a band in the middle and I opted to also have a matching slightly curved band to wear with it. I really think you should do what works for you and not worry about what others think.

If you like it as it is, then wear it as is. I think it’s beautiful. My husband’s aunt just wears one ring. It’s a big ole solitaire and no wedding band.

I thought I wouldn’t want a wedding band either, but it turned out I did want my finger to look different once I was married.
