I just came back from visiting my gemologist friend at her jewelry store. She quoted me $1050 CAD all in for a semi eternity wedding band with excellent cut F-G color, 0.20TCW I think, 2mm thick. It would be custom made to match the setting of my engagement ring.
Is this a good price?
Also, my engagment ring is actually 2.6mm in width. I tried on wedding bands that were equal in size in addition to my e-ring and it felt too wide. Would it be odd to have a slightly thinner engagement ring next to a slightly thicker engagement ring?
I prefer my set to look like a set 😀

@Sparkle_Bee: I’m from TO as we well…. Love ur Ering btw …. With F to G color diamonds the price seems fair but what can make or break that is size of each stone… Eg: pave set vs 7 shared prong set… Here is mine just for view. I like mine flushed together and chose a pave style.. Paid a bill more for my 0.80 ct band. Diamonds are G color but as you can see are shared prong setting. Im getting a second band for other side Ering.

@Sparkle_Bee: your ring is so pretty. a channel set diamond band will look great with it. i think a 2mm would be ok. have you seen a 2.5mm?
the price is just ok. if i were you, i would look around at stores and on line to compare prices. i know that i have seen bands that you have described with more than .20 ctw for less and the stats were similar.

@Sparkle_Bee: Yes, I think wedding rings that are just a bit thinner than the e-ring look best.

@diamondsforevershine: Wow, I love your set!
@mypinkshoes: Yes, I tried the 2.5 mm also, and it felt too bulky. You’re right, i’ll look around some more.
@distracts: Thanks for your input!
