What should we do?
We are not having a ring boy and i know the next option is the best man.
What does he do? just put them in his pocket or in a box or something?
I was just wondering as i would be too scared they would fall out his pocket
What has everyone else done?

@Missymalumba: I am not sure as to what the best man does with the ring but I am pretty sure he does hold it in his pocket in a box. I have seen the best man hold the ring for the bridetobe and the maid of honor hold the groomtobe ring.

My sister didn’t have a ring boy, she made a “pillow” out of fabrics scraps/ ribbons and tied the rings to it. The bride and groom gave it to a dear friend and when it was rign time, he came up and stood between them facing the audience and they each took a ring.

I gave the Best Man a little muslin bag (that matched the bridesmaid’s colours) and he kept that in his pocket. When the time came he took them out of the bag and held them out in his palm for us. I like JonJoon’s idea of giving them to a friend too. No set rules – it’s your wedding – do what works for you!

a lot of times, the best man will carry the bride’s ring on his pinky and the Maid/Matron of Honor will carry the groom’s ring on her thumb. That way there are no bags or boxes to worry about.
As pp said- there are no set rules!

Even with a little boy ring-bearer, most people give the rings to the best man to hold. (Would you trust a 3-6 year old with hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of very small stuff? I wouldn’t!)
We had out of our dogs walk down the aisle as a flower girl / ring bearer type role. But our best man actually had the rings.
You can tie a ribbon around them if you’re worried about them falling out of his pocket.

We’re just giving ours to the Best Man….maybe I will make a little bag for them, thanks for the ideas!

I’ve never been to a wedding (as a guest or a photographer) where the ring bearer actually had the rings. Typically the Bridesmaid or Best Man gets the brides ring and the Maid/Matron of Honor gets the groom’s ring.

We aren’t having ring boy.
I had the girl who was making our clutches for our bridesmaid. She made these.
She doesn’t have those specifically but she does have these.
I’m sure she would make them still if you ask. The fabric of those, match the bridesmaids fabric. I love them.

I had a friend have the flower girl carry them in addition to throwing petals. She actually dropped the rings down a spiral stair case right before the wedding, but we found them so it was ok. Then the best man held onto them because the bride didn’t trust the Flower Girl anymore. It wasnt the FG’s fault though, because the rings weren’t tied on very well.

My maid of honor kept DH’s in a box in the pocket of her dress.
Best man kept my band in a box in his inside jacket pocket, I think.
