Hello! I need help figuring out what to do for accessories for my wedding day (in September, still have lots of time) but I’ve hit a road block. I’m wearing the Oleg Cassini cwg464 from David’s Bridal, and I can’t decide what direction I really want to go with it. When I initially tried the dress on I tried it with a basic blush sash and also with a sparkley sash over that. I feel like the sparkley sash might be too much, but the other way feels almost too plain! I also never envisioned myself having one of those ribbon sashes because (for me) they felt a little too traditional especially with it trailing down the back. In reading Mrs. Squid’s latest post on her dress alterations creating the illusion neckline, that seemed like an amazing idea but I don’t know if my illusion lace would look as good as hers did. Just hoping to get some ideas and inspiration from others! My dress already has a lot going on with the lace and 3d blush flowers so I don’t want it to be overwhelming, but I feel like it still needs that something extra. Any ideas are welcome!! Thank you!

i think either one goes well-its really what you want. I like a little bling-so if it were me I would go with the blingy one, the plain is nice if you want something more suttle. I do like the belt/sash bc it shows off your shape
your dress is beautiful

I think the dress is really pretty without the sash. I also think a sash could work on it but I’m not sure that I like the blush sash. Maybe something ivory so that the sash isn’t as much of a focal point? Your dress is really pretty…love the detail!

I think a blingy sash of some sort. The pink sash diverts my eyes from the dress too much.
Welcome to Bee too!

I’m usually anti-sash — I think they are mainly an up-sell opportunity for the bridal salon and usually chop up the flow and can be unflattering. BUT sometimes they do help define the waistline and add something to the dress. That blush sash is one of those times. I REALLY like it. I think it looks like a different, more figure-flattering gown with the sash. The extra sparkle is kind of “meh” to me (I’d skip it), but I definitely recommend keeping that sash. And you have it in exactly the right spot in your photo — don’t move it an inch!

Your dress is beautiful! I really like it with the blush sash – I have a similar sash with my dress, except mine is champagne. I agree that the blingy sash is too much. Your dress already has so much going on with those gorgeous flower appliques, so the bling just makes the whole look too busy IMO.

LOVE the pink sash!! Meh on the extra bling.

I also like the blush sash for defining the waistline. I think it looks lovely! You could also try an ivory sash too as pp stated if you want something more subtle.
The sparkle sash looks too busy IMO with all the other detailing already in the dress. And I’m usually a blingy gal 🙂

I like the plain blush sash! Not a fan of the bling.
