I have a gorgeous 3 stone oval halo ring By Neil Lane unfortunantley the wedding band for that ring has been discontinued. I have been looking for bands and have tried on a bunch. I decided I wanted a thin straight micro pave band to match my band. I like the look of the gap. I could not find this band in stores and found out I would have to have it made. Due to poor customer service at Jared I went to NSAR jewlers. The owner assured me he could due exactly what I wanted for a fraction of the price! I ordered The band he said he would make a mold ans I could approve it. He also told me it would have to be .5mm thicker than my band no problem. When I saw the mold I was unsure but he assured me I would love it and if it was too thick he could re do it and put it in the case to sell. So here it is, I have mixed feelings it’s a gorgeous ring and I don’t mind the thickness the only thing I don’t like it how it sits higher and is more dome shaped. BEEs please let me know if it looks good with my ring or if I should ask for something else!

Keep it! Very sparkly and pretty 🙂

It’s beautiful! And I really like how it has a higher profile than your ering. Another great thing is that this band will look great alone if you wouldn’t want to wear your ering for whatever reason. In my opinion it’s a keeper!

The more I try it on the more I love it. I think I just love my e-ring so much by itself that I need to get used to the band with it. I took more photos today. In a few weeks the rings will be at my MILs so I need to try it on while I can! Thanks for the input ladies.

I think that’s the best to do– its up to the person wearing the jewelry. It comes down to personal preference in these situations!

It’s a lovely ring but why did the band have to be thicker? They definitely sell thin eternity pave bands everywhere.

He said he could make it thinner if I didn’t like this one but this is the mold he had and thought would look good.

I think it’s beautiful. I actually really enjoy the dome shape. I was looking at a VERY similar band before I chose the one I have now and it just wasn’t the one as the diamonds were much larger and it bugged me. I still REALLY want it as a RHR though! I’m also clumsy and the dome shape banged around too much for me.
If you DON’T like the dome feel/look don’t get it. There are plenty of other bands to look at. My band is thicker than my e-ring and I actually prefer that because I bought my band keeping in mind that it won’t always be worn with my e-ring (for example, if I am holding small children someday or doing something crafty since my stone sits high).
Just curious, did you purposefully order the dome thinking it would be something else, or maybe he misconstrued your request? To me this is pretty specific. It’s really hard for me to tell but your e-ring setting looks kind of dome-y (haha).
I would just try on some micropave bands with the same size diamonds as the band on your e-ring. Can’t really go wrong there!
I only voted “get a new one made” because you obviously aren’t in love with it.

I had this band made. I showed the jewler my Engagement Ring and said I want a band just like my Engagement Ring band. He said it would be a little thicker. I do like it I think I just need to get used to it as I’m used to my dainty Engagement Ring band. I’m usually the type of person that likes things the more I get to know them. I’m leaning towards keeping it.
