What do you all think of these shoes:
I just got them today for the wedding, in cobalt. I think they’re actually a bit more blue in person because they look purple to me on the website. My dress is an ivory lace sheath dress and my Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing Alfred Angelo’s mediterranean blue so hopefully this won’t be too weird.
My mom hasn’t been too supportive because she was weirded out when I told her they were blue (she was also quite distressed by my saying I wouldn’t be carrying white flowers) and she says I’ll never be able to walk in them. I’m not a big fan of high heels but 3.75 inches with a .5 inch platform doesn’t seem outrageous to me and they seemed ok to walk around in (compared to the 4.5 inch heels I got from Target a couple of weeks ago which I couldn’t even walk from the car to the house comfortably in).

I’ve seen those shoes at DSW. I thought they were adorable! The heel also looked reasonable and comfortable enough to wear all day. So, go for it!

Thanks for all the feedback!
Ok – so my dress kind of looks a little like this:
and these are the shoes –
Would they be horribly mismatched? I just fear that they would not go at all. I talked to my mom today and she’s really appalled that they’re not white and she says I’m “supposed” to get wedding shoes from a bridal salon not from a shoe store. She also says that because they’re satin they won’t look right (my dress is lace) and I should have gotten something that was more of a material closer to lace.

I’m wearing very dark blue Nina shoes (Conseja) and my gown is dark ivory satin – I needed something blue. I got sparkly silver flats for my reception. Wear what YOU want to, if they make you feel special!!!
