I’m a non-heel loving girl and I’m not going with a heel. While I, too, like the look, I know I can’t function in them and I’d rather spend the money on a nice flat shoe that I can withstand being in for the whole day than spend oodles of money on heels that I’ll be taking off after the ceremony (as a timeframe example). Just my two-cents.

I would normally go for something with a strap across, purely because I hate how when shoes stretch after warming up, they can end up falling off your feet (picture the bride losing her shoe down the aisle – how embarassing!) So I’ve gone for a gorgeous T-bar heel with a buckle.

BUT if you’re not comfy in heels, don’t feel like you have to wear big heels. There are some gorgeous kitten heels to be had!

I hardly ever wear heels, so I’m going with probably somewhere around a 3″ wedge for my big day. I’ve always found wedges more comfy/easier to walk in than, say, stilettos.

No matter what shoe you get, you’ll probably want to start wearing them around the house a couple of months before your wedding. Since I wear a lot of flats/flip-flops, every time I get a new pair of heeled shoes they give me blisters the first few times I wear them. That is the LAST thing you want to happen during your reception.

I don’t find strappy shoes to be comfortable, so I’m all for the peep toe shoes.  Super cute!

@pixiebride1200:  my plan is to swap with one of my bridesmaids for their cute kitten heels if mine start hurting… I’ve got them all a pair of these: 4

Super comfy as well as they’re lined with crushed velvet

@Tallulah_xo:  They are by Irregular Choice – These are the Mini Magic Floral and are exclusive to Schuh… Irregular Choice do some amazing shoes – like art for feet! I’ve had to resort to ebay to find three pairs though as all sizes except 4 and 5 are sold out!!

Love ’em!  If only IC had more flats available.  I love the look of a lot of their heels, but my feet shudder in fear, lol.

To answer the OP’s original question, I like the peep-toe pumps.  They’re classic.

@pixiebride1200:  I think if you are way more comfy in flats, wear flats! A lot of brides do. Especially if you think you might be in pain all day. I love flats. I live in them.

You could also think about a low wedge heel. I have a few pairs and they feel like flats, but have a bit of height!
