I guess I splurged.

I’m paying a total of $2.6K for my shoes.  They’re getting customized with gold Swarovski crystals at the moment which was roughly $1.6K.  The shoes themselves were about $1K.

Here they are…almost complete…

ThatLillyeGirl:  my mom insisted on buying me fancy shoes – I wouldn’t have spent so much otherwise. I think they were about $300 or $350. They are quite comfortable and I’ve worn them again!

I had two pairs – heels and flats. The heels were $50 on zappos (eggplant peep toe 3″ heels). The flats I splurged on as I had them custom made in DH’s family tartan (he’s from Scotland and we got married there); they were $300. $300 for me is a lot for shoes. Shoes just weren’t where I wanted to spend my money on the wedding πŸ™‚

I got lucky!  I had seen these same shoes as a stiletto and LOVED them but the ground at my ceremony/reception is cobblestone so I really needed a wedge or flat.  After looking everywhere I finally went directly to the Badgley Mischka website and found the exact same shoe in a wedge.  They were 50% and there was only one left and it happened to be my size!  I figured it was fate or something πŸ™‚  The cost after the discount was $110.

I got mine in the sale, but they should have been £160.

I justified this because they are super comfy and I really love them! Plus, they’re from a British Designer who has a showroom like 20 minutes from me so I was able to try on as many shoes by her as I wanted!

Wedding shoes cost a bomb, so try and pick something you’d wear again! πŸ™‚

I would love to wear Valentinos but just cant justify spending over $1000 on them. (Plus Fiance will be very annoyed!) Hoping to keep it under $400 and get something I’ll wear again.

I can’t seem to find a good picture right now, but mine are glittery gold pointed toed flats.  I love them!  I got them for $40 from DSW.  I like that I’ll be able to wear them again too.  I wanted flats so that I wouldn’t be taller than Fiance.

thosethreewords:  It is indeed! I actually bought two pairs as they were in the sale and I’m becoming slightly obsessed haha πŸ™‚

Which ones did you go for? πŸ™‚

I found mine on Amazon from a place called Elegant Park which I believe is in China. I only spent $45 but I was planning on finding something less than $100 Because of everything else I was seeing!! I LOVE mine!

Souzie:  but they are pretty!!

I am looking at shoes too. I am reluctant to buy online I want to feel them with my feet! I am expecting to pay up to 300 for them. I wanted blue, but may re think because my dress is blush!
