My Fiance and I wear vans sneakers constantly and its super important to him to have us and our wedding party in them for our wedding. I love this idea because my feet won’t hurt from heels at the end of the night and its personal 🙂 My ? is how to do I pair these sneakers with bridesmaids dresses? I don’t want them to look short. Any ideas?

There really isn’t a solution here. If you want the height of heels, you need to have them wear heels. If you want them in sneakers, you run the risk of them looking short.
That being said, I’ve seen some awesome weddings where the girls (and guys, for that matter) all wore Converse All-Stars, and it was adorable and fit the couple perfectly.

I think its cute for you, Fiance, and his gms but the BMs should be in heels.

I agree with futuremrsmp. It’s great for the guys to wear sneakers but I like girls in heels, it looks more finished. If you wanted to do both then you can have heels for the ceremony and sneakers for the reception. That would be a fun way to do it, do your bridesmaids have an opinion? If given the choice I know exactly what I would feel better in, ask them to see how they would feel their personal best.

Thanks ladies! My mom and I decided we are going to pick a dress that will work first and then decide how they look with the shoes. I love the look of vans with dresses and I wore them to homecoming a couple years ago and thought it was cute. I really like the idea of everyone in them or doing girls in heels and me switching 🙂 THANKS!!

I say go with it. It helps if the dresses are ballroom elegant dance dresses. I would go with something cotton-ish. Maybe even a pattern?

Vans wedges! That way you can match the gm but your bm will still have the added height!

This was the best pic I could find… I google wedding party in vans.
Maybe if they wear heals for the ceremony and do the vans for some of the pictures?
