I’ve been stalking the boards for a couple of days now, and I finally decided to just go ahead and join so I could post! 🙂
I’m trying to find some shoes to go with my dress that aren’t strappy heels! I’ve seen a few cute ballet flats but nothing has really grabbed my attention and made me say, “YES! these are my shoes!” My dress has a “sweep” train so it just touches the ground and it’s the perfect length for flats. Also, I have big, flat feet (generally size 9 or 10) that just aren’t cute in strappy heels… plus, I’m a total klutz! I’m also on a budget, not necessarily a tight budget, but a budget nonetheless. I found a pair of super cute satin ballet flats, but they were $103!! I don’t know about ya’ll, but I’m not a fan of $103 shoes that I’m only gonna wear once. Any suggestions?? Let me know! Thanks!!

Thanks so much trugem! I LOVE some of the shoes on myglassslipper.com. They definitely have some of the cutest ones I have seen. There were a few that I am definitely in love with! Thanks again!

I wore wedding boots! Got ’em off of eBay for around $20. Don’t know if I will wear them again or not, but hey, they were $20!

I’m a big believer in paying for shoes–cheap shoes can cripple you and ruin your day, since they’ll be on your feet for hours and hours, screwing up your posture and giving you blisters the size of Montana. Can you find a shoe that you’d wear again and be willing to spend a bit more money on? I think most brides these days plan to buy wedding shoes they’ll wear again!

@bluespurrs – those boots are definitely cute! however, i don’t think they go with my dress 🙂 but ebay is a good suggestion!
@veganglam – i would definitely be more willing to pay more for shoes that i might wear again. i’m more of a crocs and flip flops kinda girl and i don’t have too many situations that call for fancy shoes, but it is always good to have a nice pair of shoes just in case!

I dont know if you have or not but have you thought about doing a colored shoe? That way, you would probably be more likely to wear them again.
A great site to look at shoes at all prices and styles is perfectdetails.com . I got mine there and love them. Good luck!
