I am having trouble finding nice wedges for my wedding (my dress is ivory/silver). Any suggestions? Ideally I’d like them to have some bling or be a fabric that I could do a little DIY project on!
Thanks bees!

julies1949: Thanks for all of the suggestions! I forgot to mention that my dress is lace so I don’t want anything that will pull. These last Nina shoes are lovely!

beauty418: I don’t have a picture, but I think mine were called “Maggie” by Touchups by Benjamin Walk. They were so comfy all day – we had a garden reception so I needed something practical for the grass.

Love the rampage shoes.. I may have to buy those even if I don’t use them for the wedding!

beauty418: I’m having trouble finding wedges too 🙁 I’m having a winter wedding so I need close toed, preferably platform wedges.
Do you want open toe? There are lots of options right now, lots going on sale in shoe shops. Not sure where you live, but I’ve been creeping aldo and spring a lot lately and have been finding great shoes!

winterwoodlandbride15: I am checking out all the sales because otherwise I don’t think I will have much luck in the winter with peep toe!
What about this for closed toe? http://www.ebay.com/itm/EP2005-White-Women-Round-Toe-Rhinestones-Wedge-Heel-Satin-Wedding-Shoes-US-4-11-/131251328371?pt=US_Women_s_Accessories&var=430527403710&hash=item1e8f305573

beauty418: Thanks 🙂 Love ebay! Those ones don’t ship to Canada, but I have been looking on ebay. I found some chunky heels… which are kind of like wedges.

beauty418: Yay for April weddings! Mine’s April 17, which is a Friday so I’m not expecting to have any date twins on this site 🙂 I definitely recommend those shoes, they are super tall but surprisingly easy to walk in. The only complaint I have with them is that there’s some glitter fallout, but it’s not so bad that you’d leave a trail of pixie dust wherever you go, haha.

I spent a TON of time researching this. I probably prioritized COMFORT over beauty, because I get easily uncomfortable in heels after standing in them for 5+ hours!!
Here’s my pinterest board: http://www.pinterest.com/tiptaptaupe/wedding-shoes/
I ultimately went with the Jambu Glamour (so comfortable!!!!*) which I’m going to bling out with pearls and tiny crystals in a geometric pattern. I love the pop of blue! They look a little fugly from afar, but with the bling, I think they’ll really be something.
*And I mean COMFORTABLE. Not quite as good as sneakers, but better than some of my flats. I’m snooty when it comes to comfort brands — sometimes even aerosoles leaves my feet aching 4 hours in. The high platform means my feet aren’t at a killer angle, and I’ll still get the height I want! (And there’s memory foam)

I’m wearing Kate Spade’s Iberis wedges! I searched for wedding wedges for so long before I saw these — then I stalked the internet until I found them on sale! haha
