I’m thinking of purchasing my Venus dress online….I will try some dresses on within a week or two so that I know what size to order and how it looks on me..
Once I hear of some stories of positive experiences with the website, I will go head and buy the dress online! and save myself about $1200!

I haven’t used this website but I too saw my dress on there and thought “Wow I can get really cheap.” (I actually bought my dress from a salon.) It is a replica dress site so you would not be getting the actual designer’s dress. I know some dress replica places do a great job but not sure about Wedding Shoppe.

It is NOT a replica dress site, you can see they are a premier retailer here
http://www.maggiesottero.com/stores.aspx look in Minnesota and they are listed.
Vendor reviews are here http://www.weddingbee.com/reviews/wedding-shoppe-inc–
Or just search the boards and you will see them pop up a bit http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/the-wedding-shoppe-in-st-paul
Just want to make sure you get accurate info, the PP is probably thinking of another site!!

It’s definitely a real brick and mortar store in st paul. I actually went there to pick up my bridesmaids dress for a friend’s wedding.

yeah there’s a storefront on grand ave in st paul. i keep calling them to see if they have samples of gowns i want to see and they never do, lol. i think they do most of their business online.

They don’t have a lot of the gowns in the store and some of the ones they do have are more expensive in the store than they are online. They will give you a real designer gown and not a replica. The owner’s daughter is really helpful and friendly.
I do have to admit that they lied to my friend to get her to purchase a gown (they told her it was a sample that wasn’t being produced and they were sending it back to the company the next day. A couple of weeks later the designers collection hit the website and sure enough the gown was there).
If you are just placing the order through the website and not looking for advice/good customer service/alterations I would go through them.

Wondering what the results were. I’m considering buying my bridesmaids dresses here, but was hoping she had gotten her dress and had more insight.

@callafornia22: I’ve worn dresses from Wedding Shoppe, it’s located a few miles from my house. They do a good job with dresses. I think my sister got her gown there as well. They’re a very typical bridal shop.
