I was hoping you all could help me out… My wedding shower is in May, so I’m planning ahead. I really want a fiesta themed wedding shower, however, my mother is a bit worried that it won’t look “weddingish” and look more like a Cinco de Mayo party. How do I incorporate “wedding” into a themed shower?
Thank you in advance!

I love this idea for a bridal shower! It could be so fun. I say you go with the theme and run with it! Margaritas, tapas and the works!
Here are some decoration ideas!

Why does it have to look wedding-ish? I think it sounds fun the way it is. I guess the question is- is it important to you for it to be a run-of-the mill shower? I’m not exactly sure how that could be done because i’m not a fiesta expert, but i’m sure there’s a way if you decide. I would suggest making an elegant fiesta.

I think a fiesta-themed shower is a fabulous idea–I can’t stop thinking about the delicious food and music!
Maybe if your mom is worried about it not looking like a wedding shower, you two could compromise and incorporate fiesta colors instead with papel picado banners? Not everyone has to wear a sombrero and drink a margarita, but they could at least be options ; )

My bridal shower was toga themed because my husband and I went to Rome on our honeymoon, and it was the best thing ever! I thought it was super creative and so much fun!
Try incorporating some Mexican wedding traditions into games, food, etc. Then have different decorations in the couple’s colors!
