I don’t know if you’re a hat person, but one of my friends had a "Derby" themed bridal shower, and it was really fun!

I went to a breakfast at Tiffany’s shower and they did a brunch with breakfast foods.  and then they decorated with the Tiffany blue and had those fake diamond paperweights scattered around the tables.  The cake was a giant Tiffany’s box.  Very cute theme.

I’ve been to a "time of the day" shower. Each person attending gets an hour of the day (8am, 9am,…7pm, 8pm, etc…) and they have to bring a gift that corresponds with their hour.

At the shower I attended, I got 7pm, so my gift was a popcorn popper and a DVD set of the bride’s fav TV show. The ladies that got 9pm or later brought some ‘frisky’ gifts 🙂

It was fun to see how everyone intrepretted their hour.

I am dying for an Alice in Wonderland-style tea party 🙂

Do you have a favourite move/book? Those can give birth to some pretty awesome parties. =)

I love Beav1279‘s idea!

You could also theme it around the idea of a "shower"…have guests bring gifts for use on a "rainy day", give out umbrellas (mini or otherwise) for favours (if you want to provide favours), serve "rainy day" food, have guests wear blue/grey, etc!

I read on another post about an "Everyone is a Bridesmaid" theme. All attendees have to come dressed in the ugliest Bridesmaid or Best Man dress they can find. HAHAHAHA!! I love it.
