- Wedding: April 2013
So, my “small intimate ceremony with just my mom and sister and FIs parents and sister” ballooned to a 30 person, close friends and family dinner to now a GIANT wedding with over 100 guests! We’re inviting about 140 but expecting about 100 (maybe/hopefully slightly less, like 90 or so) to actually attend. FI’s family is (luckily) paying since my original plan was to just have 10 people (including us) at a small ceremony and it was their idea to have a large wedding (well, my mother is paying for a bit and we’re covering the rest). Anyway, I need venue help, downtown Boston, January. The usual go-tos on here for Boston are the Hampshire House, Mooo, the State Room, etc, but they’re WAY out of our budget (and yes, it IS possible to have a wedding for less than $10,000.00 in Boston for this many people, you just need to know where to look). I’ve found a few possible places (small italian restaurants) but they don’t allow dancing, and with this many guests we can’t NOT have dancing, so any ideas would be appreciated!!! We’re hoping to keep it under $80 a person (including alcohol, so like $50 or $60 a person for dinner). HELP!!!
