So my bff is getting married and she has asked me to speak at her wedding! I’m super excited and honored but am a bit nervous because I am not an eloquent writer in the least. She said it needs to be short, I’ll have 3-5 minutes at most; but I want to make it meaningful, while still staying concise. The ceremony is not overly religious so I wouldn’t be comfortable including any scripture. I was thinking of doing a short reading but would that be too impersonal?
I’m seriously at a loss! Any good pointers on where to start?

I think a short reading would be awesome! Definitely not too impersonal as long as you pick something that feel fits your friend. I think it is a great idea!

@SamanthaSadlier:Glad you like the reading idea! I just want whatever I end up saying to be perfect so I’m putting tons of pressure on myself you know?

I like the reading idea as well, especially if you don’t feel like you can write well. If it encompasses your friendship or her, it’s great! 🙂

speak from your heart and it will all come out and maybe a few tears too.
