- Wedding: September 2012
Good evening! I’m Sarah the proud younger sister of our beautiful bride. I want to start by congratulation our bride and groom and thanking all of you for coming tonight and making this a day to remember for all of us.
As anyone who’s the youngest in their family would know, it has many benefits. They range from being able to borrow your siblings cloths without them finding out to having them drive you almost everywhere (sorry Katie)! But the benefits of being the youngest go deeper than that, it’s the fact that you are exposed to so many smart, kindhearted and amazing older people. In my life my sister is one of them. I could sit here and tell you story after story about Katie and I and how we have been best friends for forever. Or I could tell you about the time she forced me to drink my first beer before my mom came home from grocery shopping! (Yup 7th grade can you believe her!?) but none of these stories would do our relationship any justice. My whole life I have looked up to you and you have been there for me every step of the way. I’m so honored to be your sister and so blessed to have you as my best friend. As we get older and start our own families I know our bond will only grow stronger.
The first time I met Keith I could tell right away that he was a great guy. He was polite and very kind. As I got to know him more I realized he was the perfect match for my sister. Seeing how happy you make Katie shows me that only you could be the right one for her.
You’re both amazing people and together you are complete and I’m so grateful to gain another brother. I would like to wish the newlywed couple a long and very happy marriage and leave you both with a little advice..
Take each day and cherish each other. Love one another and stand together. Take time to talk to one another. Put your love and family first you job and hobbies second and may your love be like the wind. Strong enough to love the clouds, soft enough to never hurt, but always never ending. I love you both so much!!!!
Here’s to love laughter and happily ever after!
