THE BLUE! I LOVE the blue! The other options just don’t compare. You can not go wrong with that pretty color. It is covered but happy, feminine and summery. Dress it up with jewelry, heels and bag. Just be mindful of the cleavage – it may need a little tack so it isn’t inappropriate for church.

Miss Moxy :  I don’t think it’s bad to wear black to a wedding – a lot of people wear it especially to evening weddings. I don’t wear black to weddings personally (but that’s just a personal preference). I think all of these are great 🙂

Wardrobe change would be fine if that’s what you want to do. And I don’t know what the proper etiquette is as far as black goes, but I would wear black if that is what I feel best wearing.

I love the floral but I think it’s a little casual for a semi formal wedding. Black is a great fallback, but if the blue as an option for you, go for it!! It’s stunning, you will look so beautiful 🙂

I think that those are all great options! Wear whatever you are most comfortable in!

Black is up for debate as it’s still a no-no in traditional circles, but perfectly acceptable according to contemporary etiquette. Personally, I’d wear the black or the floral dress. I’m not as much of a fan of the blue, at least on the model as pictured. I’d judge on which has the most figure flattering fit on you.

Miss Moxy :  in the UK it’s fairly common to change between the ceremony/sit down meal and reception, precisely because of timing/venue etc. Eg what is appropriate attire for a church ceremony may not be for a formal evening reception, and vice versa. We went to a wedding in the summer, and I changed after the meal; I wore a tea-length floral print dress and hat to the ceremony and meal, and changed into a more structured cocktail dress for the evening. Plenty of people did the same.

If you can’t change, I would go with the blue one, as to me this best suits both occasions; personally I don’t think the black is appropriate for church, and I think the floral is too casual for the evening. One way you can change up the look without a full outfit change is by changing accessories/make-up/hair eg you could wear your hair loose and keep make-up fairly natural for the day, and jewellery to a minimum; then take your hair up, do bold/smokey eye make-up and add some statement jewellery (maybe dangly earrings if you take your hair up) forums the evening. It will give a whole new, fresh vibe without you having to change your whole outfit.
