I live in Portland and there are a few places to look. There is Andrea’s bridal on Congress St. However it is a little pricey, and the girls in there can be a little snooty. There are quite a few great boutiques in the Old Port area, we looked there for the mother of the bride dress (we were trying to avoid the old lady look). I would also go to the Mall in South Portland for MOB dresses, Macy’s has a great selection right now. There is also a DSW next to the mall that would be a great place to look for shoes. And if you wanted there is a David’s Bridal in the mall (i have my own opinions about them)

We got all of our dresses from Fabulous Formals on Main st in Sanford. It is about 45 min south of Portland but worth the drive. The ladies there are soooo great!!!

What are you looking for in your decor?

One of the boutiques in the Old Port is Spoil Me Rotten, on Exchange Street. They have bridal gowns but also MOB and bridesmaid dresses.

There are a lot of great little shops in the Old Port area for decor, or at least soething that may inspire you.

Spoil me Rotten has actually moved to Falmouth. I was in there yesterday and their selection has gone down a lot since the move. Although they have some of the designers that other dont so its still a good place to look.

Most of the boutiques you can purchase off the rack, however you may have to order something depending on sizes.

Good luck it’s supposed to a beautiful weekend here!

I would go to Spoil Me Rotten in the on Exchange St. in the Old Port for anything bridal. Their bridal selection was great last summer and this winter my mom found a very unmatronly MOB dress there. Amaryllis (sp.) and Bliss on Exchange are other good places to look for dresses. Chantal on Middle/Spring St. is another good spot to look for MOB & Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses.

J.Crew outlet in Freeport has some nice dresses for bridesmaids and maybe even MOB. They also have cute satin hair embellishments and other accessories. Also try Banana Republic outlet, Anne Klein, and Brooks Brothers.

For purses, bridesmaids or groomsmens gifts try the Coach Outlet in Freeport. They are having a sale right now of 50% off marked-down prices. Men’s wallets for  as little as $35.

For inexpensive decor "trinkets" or out of town bag goodies you may want to try the Christmas Tree Shops in South Portland (near the mall). Wilburs of Maine in Freeport has amazing candies and chocolates in very "Maine" and coastal themes, which would be very nice favors. One Stop Party Shop in South Portland has everything you could ever need for a party.

For shoes try the Nine West outlet in Freeport, DSW in South Portland, Macy’s in the Maine Mall, several shops along Exchange Street in Portland. Also try Banana Republic retail (not an outlet), and the Limited in the Maine Mall for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses.

Obviously I’m from around here and really like the shop. If you can tell me what kind of decor you’re looking for (maybe send some inspirational photos or links) I can probably tell you where to go! I can also ask my bridesmaids who live around here for suggestions too.
