They are both really cool ideas!

Do you know how much each one is going to cost?  Maybe that will sway your decision.

If you are having a rehearsal dinner, you could make one for that and the other for the wedding.

I haven’t decided on anything yet. I have been considering a groom’s cake in the shape of drums because he is a drummer or a groom’s cake in the shape of his truck that he is restoring; it would be in the restored state.

I have also considered a pocket watch because it is traditional and he wants one. The one I want to get him is very expensive. Or a new cell phone that he wants with a note included that says “Call Me!”

I still have a little bit of time, so that means more time to come up with more ideas and also change my mind. I am notorious for changing my mind.

I am doing a more traditional surprise with a present before the ceremony. I am going to get him a nice watch, with a note to be on time!

My FI’s last name is Heinz so I’m getting him a grooms cake that looks like a heinz ketchup bottle 🙂

Groom’s cake here too.  He’s a big USC football fan since he went there and will have a football, helmet, and his fraternity emblem on it.  I can’t wait to see his reaction.

I made my groom a trifle ( you’ve seen the Friend.. MEAT? GOOD! JAM? GOOD!) he’s Welsh and he was really put out that I wanted a wedding cake instead of a trifle, haha! He enjoyed the cake tasting more than I did though. I surprised him with a trifle for being such a good sport. He LOVED it!
