Theme: No “theme’ but inspired by a shirt we saw

Wedding Party(#s): 5 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, Maid/Matron of Honor, Best Man, Jr. Bridesmaid & Jr. Groomsman

Ceremony (where, time): Villa Garden 5pm

Reception (where, time): Villa Borghese

Dress Style: Monique Lhullier Bliss  1102

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Pro (wanted to do it myself, but my mom insists that I not risk getting makeup all over my hands and thus all over my dress- she has a fair point).

Honeymoon Location: Oahu, HI

Flowers:  Big and yellow were our criteria- whatever is in season

First Dance Song: God only Knows – Beach Boys

Centerpieces: Yellow roses mixed with other seasonal yellow flowers

Food/Menu: TBD but we are making them eliminate the pasta course

Wedding Date: September 8, 2012
 
Engagement Length: Just under a year, we got engaged Sept. 18, 2011
 
Colors: Silver and green (granny smith apple green) with touches of yellow, orange, and cream.
 
Theme: Not really a theme, I like to call it modern nature inspired.
 
Wedding Party(#s): No party just me and the groom.
 
Ceremony (where, time): A place in Oak Brook, IL.
 
Reception (where, time): In the same place as the ceremony.
 
Dress Style: Custom from Dolly Couture, based off of The San Marino dress. I added a corset back and scoop neckline and it’s fully lined with rose taffeta under the eggshell lace.
 
Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Karma Salon for both.
 
Honeymoon Location: Key West, FL
 
Flowers: No real flowers my bouquet is from Mybrokenart on Etsy.
 
First Dance Song: Umm, we haven’t decided. 
 
Centerpieces: Again no real flowers, my Mom’s friend is an event decorator and she is doing the decorating. It will be moss green button mums, spider mums, moss, and a few colored silk flowers. 
 
Food/Menu: Cocktail:

Cake Flavour: We decided to have a small wedding cake and opted to have various dessert bars and pastries, like cannolis, eclairs, banana boats, lemon, pecan, and key lime bars. Also fruit skewers with a yogurt and mint dipping sauce. The small cake is a yellow cake filled with raspberry and hazelnut filling.
 
Hum seeing the food written down like that, we are big on the food lol. Fiancé is Italian and that was his main concern oh and the bar too lol.
 
Favours: Caramels found on Etsy.
 
DJ/Band/Ipod: Diva Montell (who is a friend too) and also a keyboardist for the ceremony.
 
Bachelorrete (when/what): So far none planned. We might try to do a joint one.

Theme: Asian-inspired, using some Japanese elements like origami and cherry blossoms

Wedding Party(#s): No wedding party! 

Ceremony (where, time): Grafton, WV at 1pm

Reception (where, time): Same as ceremony, to immediately follow

Dress Style: Galina Signature SWG400

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Pro

Honeymoon Location: We plan to take a trip to California next spring. We’re thinking San Francisco or Southern California… 

Flowers:  I’ll have a paper bouquet made up of peonies, roses, dahlias, cherry blossoms, and some traditional katsudama thrown into the mix. I’m super excited!

First Dance Song: Haven’t decided yet

Centerpieces: Large Chinese takeout boxes overflowing with origami cranes, accented with ribbion and origami paper. 3 on each table.

Food/Menu: Surprisingly nothing Asian! We’ll have catering by Jimmy John’s (our favorite cold subs ever!) and having various cold sides to go along with it. Cole slaw, potatoe salad, macaroni salad, pickles, lots of fruit, and chilled veggies.

Cake Flavour: Marble 

Favours: Take out boxes filled with our favorite candies. Bit-o-honey, flavored tootsie rolls, runts, lego sweet tarts, hershey kisses, and reeses cups.

Theme: “City garden”…we are getting married in the city and are using flowers in lots of our stuff (invites, programs, placecards, etc.) and hopefully (weather dependent) will be getting married on the rooftop garden

Wedding Party(#s): 7 BMs and 7 groomsman

Ceremony (where, time): Hotel, 5:30pm

Reception (where, time): same hotel, 6-7pm cocktail hour, 7-11pm reception

Dress Style: DB

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Pro – Caitlin Murphy

Honeymoon Location: Aruba for 11 days!

Flowers:  Girls will carry white large calla lilly stems and the groomsman will have white boutineers. I will have all deep calla bouquet and my Fiance will have a deep calla boutineer

First Dance Song: Unsure…will either be a Little Big Town song or Zac Brown Band

Centerpieces: Floral, using deep purples and ivory…tall with gel and LED lights and half small to match the tall.

Food/Menu: Cocktail hour will have crab cakes, dumplings, vegetable spring rolls, mac and cheese tarts and hmm..I forget the last one. Dinner will be roasted chicken, beef tenderloin or a seasonal vegetable ravioli. Cake will be a mix of chocolate and vanilla with a raspberry filling. Open bar all night!

Cake Flavour: See above!

Favours: Lindt truffles in ivory boxes with gold lace bows!

Bachelorrete (when/what): End of June…sex toy party one night, mani/pedi and booze cuise another night, then day on a roofdeck pool of the downtown hotel followed by dinner, a stretch hummer limo, a male strip show and bar hopping all night! The next day they had brunch planned but I was feeling too ill…:-)

Wedding Party(#s): 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, 1 junior bridesmaid, 1 flower girl, and a miniature bride & groom

Ceremony (where, time): Rippavilla Plantation, just south of Nashville, TN

Reception (where, time): A local banquet hall, a mile from the plantation house.

Dress Style: Maggie Sottero Gwenyth

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Professional Makeup, including airbrush foundation and false lashes

Honeymoon Location: A week in Aruba! We cannot wait!

Flowers: My bridesmaids are carrying bouquets of hot pink roses. My bouquet contains hot pink roses, orange roses, hot pink mini cala lillies, and green cymbidium orchids. This was the inspiration, but mine will contain hot pink roses instead of the red pictured below:

First Dance Song: “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne

Centerpieces: Half the tables will have a black ceramic cube filled with short hot pink roses. The other half will have a candle centerpiece surrounded by hot pink rose petals. Hot pink votive holders with also be on every table.

Food/Menu: Cocktail Hour: Gourmet cheese station, with several dips, crackers and crostini. Chips, queso and fresh salsa with cilantro. Dinner: Southern themed buffet, including southern crusted chicken breast, pulled pork with BBQ sauce on the side, mashed potatoes, 4-cheese mac & cheese, southern style green beans, salad, biscuits, cornbread, rolls served with butter, peach and strawberry preserves. Fruit tea and unsweetened tea. Individual banana pudding cups served in lieu of a groom’s cake.

Cake Flavour: 360 mini cupcakes in 8 different flavors, including Mississippi Mud, Southern Comfort, Wedding Cake, Kentucky Bourbon Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Pumpkin Cream, Red Velvet, and Chocolate Top Hat.

Favours: There will be a photo booth so each guest may take home a photostrip. In lieu of a traditional favor, we are making a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle TN. (Note: I have been a Big Sister for 6 years and my Little Sister will be speaking at the wedding.)

DJ/Band/Ipod: DJ

Bachelorrete (when/what): Two bachelorette parties — one was July 21 in my hometown, the day before our shower in Michigan. We rented a party bus, went out to dinner, and then went to my favorite local dive bar to sing karaoke and consume cheap drinks! It was a blast! My second bachelorette party will be here in Nashville on September 8th. Several friends and family members from other states are coming in. We’ll be going around lower Broadway and hitting up the honkey tonks!

@Spoonie:  Yay, New York! I don’t know what your honeymoon budget is, but go to One if By Land, Two if By Sea. Food is super yummy, and it’s one of the most romantic restaurants in NYC!

Centerpieces: i wanted a paper lantern on a hanging table display, with a light inside surrounded by small vases with marbles, flowers and floating candles inside.  We’ll see if I can pull that all together, as it is DIY.  But I also wanted photographs of our many great dates to be the key to the seating charts.  So I don’t know where I’ll stick those photographs if the lantern is in the center.

Food/Menu: Some type of chicken or some type of fish.  I forget what the appetizers and vegetables are.

Cake Flavour: Vanilla flavor with whipped cream, with fresh raspberries in the whipped cream.  buttercream icing

Favours: small tins with blue or yellow candy in them.  I have the tins, but still need the candy.

DJ/Band/Ipod: DJ, FI’s family friend

Bachelorrete (when/what): might not be any.  i’m off to jersey shore this weekend with coworker friends, and they were going to take me to atlantic city for a bach party, but Fiance is probably coming with us now, so probably not then.  i don’t live in the same city as any of my bridesmaids, so they can’t do it.  the night before we plan to arrange flowers, drink wine, talk, maybe watch magic mike or something.  that’ll be enough.
