My table are round and will have a white table cloth on.
This is my idea…
My chairs will be covered with white and have a white lace sash with a navy rose attached. IS THIS ALL TOO MUCH?
I have been decoaating jars and i really like them so would like to have them on the tables? What do you think about the books? And colours? Will this go with my navy rose sash?
What about teh wood, does that look odd? is the lace around the wood too much when its altogether?
Appreciate your thoughts!

Ok, I am going to be honest here, so please don’t be offended.
I would lose the lace on the wood, and is it possible to use wood that is a little thicker and more substantial? What is that that is under the heart, but on the wood? Books? I would lose that too. Also, I would get rid of the heart, and use jars of different sizes on the wood, and perhaps put candles in them.
You could use thicker wood (without the lace), and put some nice classic books on top and cluster the jars in sets around, as to not make a circle.

I defintley appreciate your comments. The wood is about 1 1/2 inches thick…just cant see from the angle.
Books under the heart, you think i shoud scrap those? I was thinking i could get rid of the books and then stand one book up at the side and display my table name on this?
If i put jars on the wood, its too much with them around the egde too? Do you think? What could i have around the egde? The wood is 12 inches wide so quite big.
I dont want to use a thicker piece of wood as i have nothing else wood related so dont want this too look odd.
Im not offended and really need the help so be as offensive as you need to be. 🙂

are you putting anything in the jar? if you want to put the wood there, maybe you can put the jar on top of the wood without the heart thing, you can also tie a navy sash on top of the lace you put on the jar or navy colour bow,
if you want to put the heart up there, take the thing on top of the wood away, and maybe replace the size of the wood with something thicker and smaller, put the heart in a glass jar and put something in there (stones/beads) to make it stand still, then maybe wrap the jar in blue satin

i was going to put candles and try sand in the jars.
Okay all these ideas are fab. Im defintley removing the books from the table 🙂
What do you guys think about the heart? Is this tacky, should i take this away and just have wood with different sized jars on? Do you think that would be enough. Maybe 5 jars on the top of the wood and just this alone.
My jars are decoarted in navy lace, cream lace, ribbons etc. Iv tried to keep them simple.
I think simple is somethines best and i can see all thoughts are leading this way.
If i put jars in a cluster what should i put in them, sand and candles still?
Other option, if people think i should keep the heart is to make a whole in the wood to sit the heart in and have jars around this?
The reason i have chose wood is because i dont like the mirrors and thought it would be something different. If anyone thinks thers something better out there i can use then please let me know.

OK, I have come back, but this time with pictures!
I really like the look of this, and instead of the pink flowers, you could use the navy blue ones that will also be on the chair sash.
Here are some great ways to include your table numbers!
And, you could stack books, then put 2-3 jars are different sizes on the books, and then scatter the jars and flowers around the center like in this pic.
I am having a hard time adding the heart, I think this is mostly to do with the height and size difference, compared to the other objects. It just does not seem to be on the same plane.

I love the first picture, its beautiful . And a great way to incorporate my rose from the sash.
I think this is what im aiming for now. Its so good to get ideas from everyone.Im ridding of the books completley now.
I am using luggage tags as name places so i could get larger ones and tie these around a tall jar for the table name….or i could get smaller pieces of wood . I could vary this an each table.

So….i had a little play last night.
What do you think of this?
I will probably sit the heart in a jar of sand so it wont be navy inside.
Appreciate your comments. Is it getting better?

@char20vess: Definitely better yes! I think it’s quite unususual so I’m finding it hard to give advice. I think the pics savvy posted are better because they have some simple flowers too. I think you need something else from nature to tie it all together. I like the sand idea (or nice pebbles).
Instead of the heart could you have a taller central jar with some simple woodland flowers/twigs arranged nicely/a candle in. The heart seem to be a different style to the other things.

What doyou think would be better.
Kepp the heart (which i will add two navy roses too to match the chair sashes) and chnage the wood underneath to something else….(mirror maybe)
Or…to rid of the heart and put twigs in a tall glass.
Other things at my wedding will be a suitcase for a card box….see here (i need to hang a card sign, was going to do this with luggage tags on jute string)
Also on the table i would have these holders for lotto cards(favours)…
and for name places i was thinking of tea dying luggae tags and using just string to tie these around the napkins.
Hope this helps you to view my table.

I personally think the tall glass with some ribbon around the twigs. I’m not very good at imagining things, it might look too plain but at least it is cheap to find out! I just think the heart itself is too different. I love the suitcase idea!
Im going to give this a go and get some twigs.
I was also thinking that in one corner of the suitcase i could put a round piece of wood and engrave my partner and my initials into it…help incorporate the wood into other area. Like this.
Instead of ribbon. What do you think if i wrap it in hessian?

Here are some pics for inspiration:
and I found one with a navy rose!

Oooh, I definitely like both of those ideas!!! (especially the carved wood, that’s sweet!
Sorry for the big pics, I did resize them but they still came up big.

I think you should do a cluster of decorated mason jars with candles in! Perhaps sitting on the wood? Not sure the white heart really goes with the wood but I guess it depends what theme your doing 🙂
