I don’t see why every wedding has to have a theme – if nothing in particular has struck you up until now, why not just base it around your chosen colors and choose decorative elements to suit that? Btw, DB’s lapis = gorgeousssss. I’m hoping to use that with their golden and a couple of paler lavendar shades to tie it all together.

Maybe try and find something to tie in with your ceremony/reception location(s)? Like, if it’s outdoors you could do something rustic or vintage.

You do not need to have a theme, in fact the only people I have ever heard of having a “theme” wedding are a few bees on here

Have you googled your color combos to get ideas?  Print the ones you like and then try to imitate that.

@vmblai1019: Ah, gotcha. It definitely can help to sort out conflicting ideas when you’ve got one strong theme going.

Do the lilac/lapis look nice together? I haven’t been in to the store yet and I just can’t tell online. I was disappointed with how the shades played off one another online, but perhaps they look better in person.

@vmblai1019: What ideas do you have that seem to be clashing?

i knew the general idea of my wedding was completely different until i figured out what i was doing. i wanted romance and elegance but when i realized the things i wanted and DIYs i came up it, the theme is vintage romance.

@vmblai1019: I guess I’m just really bad about what things flow or not. I planned everything based on my whether I liked it or not, I never considered what my dress looked like, or what kind of venue I had. I think it will all work out nicely IMO. I think most wedding dresses (elegant or not) will go with a rustic theme. Hope that helps 🙂

@vmblai1019:  Hmm, I’ll keep iris in mind, thanks! I’ve also thought about going for some of the shades at alfred angelo because they have more shades available in purpley colors that look good together.
