For some reason, I always assumed we were using the standard vows. Then he told me he wrote 400+ words for his vow and if that was too much… Would really appreciate some feedback!
Shakespeare said, “Journeys end in lovers meeting.”
Fiance, when I met you, I knew my journey had ended, because I have found the person I was looking for.
You are my best friend, my lover, my partner in life, and now, my husband. I have never loved you more than I do right this second, and my darling I will never love you any less than I do right this second. I am who I am because of you. You are every dream I have ever wanted and now you are my reality.
Our married life has begun. The journey ahead of us may get difficult. I don’t believe in happily ever after – never have. But I have so much faith to lay my heart in the palms of your hands. I believe in you. I believe in us. People say love is a flower and storm will make it blossom into beautiful roses. I don’t think that’s true. I think storm can make the flower stronger, but not necessarily make it blossom. I believe only cherishing and protecting our love can make it blossom into beautiful roses. So, on this day, the day of our wedding, I promise you this: I promise to love you. I promise to be committed to our love. I promise to stand by you when times are rough. I promise to raise your smile when you are down. I promise to continue to love you, until my heart bursts.
Today, I proudly stand in front all our family and friends, tying my soul, my heart, and my life to yours. Let this wedding ring be a symbol of my love for you – it has start, has a middle, but definitely has no end.
